To be able to effectively manage the quality of your rugby pitch you need to understand how it is currently performing and what is needed to improve performance.

Our teams have conducted extensive research into the development and management of rugby pitches and are continually developing new tools and technologies that allow us to accurately measure the different playing qualities of your rugby pitch.

The STRI Team measure and analyse the quality of your rugby pitch and provide recommendations on priority areas and maintenance regimes.

This service is delivered in three stages:

1. Measure – on-site  of measurements and data is taken across the pitch for:
   1. Surface hardness
   2. Surface traction
   3. Ball speed
   4. Stud penetration
   5. Moisture levels
   6. Rooting depths
   7. Grass species composition
   8. Drainage infiltration rates
2. Analyse - thorough analysis of data and study is conducted, with identification of correlation and relationships between each set of data
3. Report & recommendations –  with data presented in easy-to-interpret graphics, along with recommendations on how to improve the quality of your rugby pitch and develop the playing performance
