Pests, Weeds & Diseases ID

It is important to fully understand what you are dealing with when you encounter pests, weeds or diseases on your sports turf. You need to identify what the problem is and manage the area quickly and effectively to minimise any damage to the sports surface.

Our specialist research team has some of the world’s most knowledgeable and experienced pathologists, who provide a fast and comprehensive service for the diagnosis and identification of all pests, weeds and diseases, along with practical advice on how to best manage your problem areas and eradicate any risk of damage to your sports turf.

We offer three areas of service:

  1. Sample Analysis & Advice – most turf disease problems can be diagnosed from a sample taken by the individual sports club/facility or one of our advisors. We provide a thorough and accurate analysis of the problem, with advice on how best to treat the turf and additional guidance on how to limit or prevent future problems.  Click here for details of how to send your sample.
  2. Site Assessments – we offer site visits to assess a particular problem area you may have or to check all of your sports surfaces, with information on how to identify and treat different pests, weeds and diseases.
  3. Disease Management Plans – a comprehensive assessment of your past and current problems, with a tailored and detailed plan on how to manage pests, weeds and diseases with guides on life cycles, resistance, cultural controls, plant protection products and pesticides storage and use.

Each client receives a detailed report on our analysis and findings, along with guidelines on the best practice for managing problem areas and preventing further occurrences.

We also provide training courses and seminars for turf managers on the identification, treatment, prevention and characteristics of different pests, weeds and diseases.
