STRI is the leading consultancy for research, design and management of sports turf and has a team of the most experienced and knowledgeable consultants and advisors in the industry. We offer scheduled and bespoke training for cricket head groundsmen and their teams to help develop both expertise and knowledge.

The content of our training modules ranges from up-to-date information on the design and structure of cricket outfields, pitches and squares through to the latest products, techniques and equipment to use to manage the different surfaces across your cricket ground at different times of the year. We also offer specific modules on pest, weed and disease issues, how to identify these and the best course of management to achieve quality results.

Our autumn courses are scheduled on a regional basis, at a local venue, helping clubs and individuals to save on accommodation and travel costs. Our training consultants also offer bespoke training modules and seminars tailored to your requirements and team abilities.

The STRI training courses are quality assured by industry bodies and associations, including LANTRA and our qualifications are recognised throughout the sports industry. Individual BASIS and CPD points are allocated to individuals on successful completion of each of our training modules.
