Video – London 2012 – Greenwich Park Cross Country Event
The STRI team has been working at Greenwich Park over the last two years preparing the cross country course for the Olympics. The project, managed by Lee Penrose, was very successful and the London 2012 cross country course has received acclaim from a wide audience, including the riders and spectators.
Preparing the course in the middle of one of London’s Royal parks was challenging, with much focus put on protecting the delicate flora and fauna within the site and our team is continuing to work in the park to ensure it is restored to its pre-games condition (or even better).
This video shows the story of our work at Greenwich Park with a 500 day countdown to the 30 July 2012, the day the Olympic cross country event was held in one of the most spectacular settings in London…
