Philip Armitage BSc (Hons)
Regional Turfgrass Agronomist - East Anglia and Home Counties.
Philip is a regional agronomist with STRI’s Southern Area team. He covers the areas of East Anglia and the Home Counties.
He has gained several valuable years experience working at golf courses around the world such as the Belfry, Westchester Country Club and Pinehurst Resort and Country Club.
Graduating from the University of Central Lancashire Philip has an honours degree in Turfgrass Science, with a Higher National Diploma in Golf Course Management from Reaseheath Agricultural College.
Prior to joining the STRI, upon completion of his degree Philip worked as the departmental manager for an irrigation company called Glen Farrow based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This role included advisory services, technical sales and contract management.
Philip is a keen sportsman playing football and badminton regularly. He is currently learning to speak German and coming from Yorkshire he is a keen Tottenham fan.
