From 2008 STRI will no longer publish its annual scientific journal "The Journal of Turfgrass and Sports Surface Science". The last volume to be produced will be a double publication, Volume 82 and 83 incorporating 2006 and 2007. Release planned for April 2008.

Back issues of all previous journals will still be available for sale both in print and electronically.

STRI scientific papers will now be published at 6 monthly intervals in The International Turfgrass Bulletin our quarterly magazine and in other industry journals.

STRI has published an annual scientific journal since the company was established in 1929. The current title The Journal of Turfgrass & Sports Surface Science includes research and review papers on all aspects of turfgrass science, sports surfaces, sports turf and amenity grasslands. Contributions are selected worldwide from key sources in the turf industry.

The current title superseded the Journal of Turfgrass Science in 2002. Earlier versions include:

- The Journal of Sports Turf Research Institute. 1951- 1996
- The Journal of the Board of Greenkeeping Research 1929 – 1950

Access to Back Issues

Back issues of the Journal are available both in print and electronically, including a limited number of ‘complete sets’. Contact the bookshop for price details.

Following joint collaboration with the Turfgrass Information Centre (TLC) at Michigan State University Libraries, STRI Subscribers have free electronic access to all back issues from 1929 to 2004 via the SUB Club.
