“The quality of the greens is the benchmark by which the standard of the golf course is judged”.

Pressures for improved winter golf may only be satisfied by reconstruction of greens once the benefits of remedial management have been fully assessed.  This provides a valuable opportunity for re-design to enhance the overall impact of the hole.  Many greens have been successfully reconstructed under the direction of STRI - working closely alongside the golf club and contractor - adopting proven specifications and working methods.

The services offered include:-

- Production of conceptual design proposals with supporting statements

- Preliminary topographic survey

- Production of detailed working drawings showing finished levels on existing together with proposed green design and associated surround features.

- Volumetric analysis of cut and fill requirements as part of the earthworks as well as quantities of materials.

- Drainage layout.
