About this project
The project is funded by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.
Our database covers all countries except those in North and South America, where a separate database for golf is available through The Turfgrass Information File at Michigan State University.
The impetus for this work has been to identify research work being carried out on golf courses and related turf areas including construction, soils, grass selection, maintenance, pests and diseases, and golf course ecology.
The Aims
- To identify current and new research related to golf course management
- To provide contact details for researchers
- To list publication details for results from the various research projects
Updating the information
- If you know of other research/researchers we may not be aware of, please advise those concerned of this website or ask them to contact Pat Reynard
- If you are carrying out research that you feel should be included in the next research database, please contact Pat Reynard indicating that you are carrying out relevant research and she will automatically send you a form next time the database is to be updated (usually in the period January to April).
Any comments or suggestions regarding this database, please contact Pat Reynard.
