The Ecological and Environmental Department forms an integral part of the STRI’s Development Services and Europe’s leading environmental consultants specialising within the golf industry. The expertise within the department is wide ranging and our Ecology consultants are constantly involved with projects outside of golf covering a number of different issues.

Working in conjunction with the STRI’s in house Architectural, Construction, Irrigation, Agronomic and Biological specialists our portfolio of skills is wide ranging embracing all aspects of design, planning, construction and long term management. Furthermore our in depth knowledge and experience of planning and Environmental Impact Assessment allows us to undertake ecological and environmental consultation for any type of new development. We are therefore in a position to provide a very special, unique and unparalleled consultancy service.

In conjunction with the above the team visit hundreds of existing golf facilities each year providing ecological and environmental advice through the production of short or long term holistic management plans.  Working closely with statutory conservation bodies, such as English Nature, allows us to develop relationships between individual golf clubs, conservation groups and the wider public.
