Aimed at professionals who maintain large areas of turf in parks, recreational areas, historical estates, cemeteries, National Trust sites, private and public gardens, this specialist course is designed to help them cope with today’s constant demands for perfect lawns and grounds.
This one day course will provide information on the latest techniques, new research and current issues surrounding the care of private and public turf areas. It will cover aspects of turfgrass management and maintenance specific to large turf areas: coping with wear and tear from high visitor levels; selecting and laying turf; pesticide guidance and legislation; drainage & irrigation and coping with areas of shade.
This combination of current scientific research and practical elements is only available through the professional skills of STRI. In addition delegates benefit from the in-house facilities on our trial grounds at Bingley.
