Understanding the Science and Management of your Golf Course

The training programme consists of four consecutive one-day modules. Delegates have the choice of attending one or all of the days, depending on their requirements.  

Each module is split into two sections, with a theoretical session in the morning, and a practical session in the afternoon. The morning sessions, presented by STRI research staff provides up to date information and some new ways of thinking. The afternoon sessions look at the practical implementation on your Golf Course, presented by STRI’s agronomy and consultancy team.

This combination of current scientific research and practical elements is only available through the professional skills of STRI. In addition delegates benefit from the in-house facilities on our trial grounds at Bingley.

Every course is BASIS registered & supported by a comprehensive training folder. All delegates will recieve a certificate of attendance.

Wednesday - Nutrition - How to feed your Golf Course

Thursday - Turfgrass Pests, Weeds and Diseases

*The Ecology module has been removed from this programme due to its success and popularity. A dedicated Ecology Course is now available.

Presentations will have emphasis on physical aspects in a hands on workshop style approach, delivered by the STRI Agronomy Team, Research Staff and Consultancy Specialists.
